Grayrigg CE School - Start Small Think Big

Special Educational Needs and Disability Information

In line with our school vision and ethos, we value every individual. Alongside celebrating their successes this involves supporting them where they need a little extra help. We recognise that for some children the learning journey can be more complex but by working together with the child and parents we can ensure every child has the opportunity to “reach further than they ever thought they could.”

Our SENDco is Emma Littlewood

I am really passionate that all children can achieve- and that SEND should not limit a child’s potential. I am currently studying for the National Award for SEND co-ordinators- as part of this I am working to enhance the voice of the child within the SEND process after all they are at the centre of it.”

For those interested in finding out a little more about Emma’s work around the child’s voice or the school’s vision for SEND, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment.

Local Offer

What is the Local Offer?

The Local Offer aims to pull information about available services into one place and make it clear and accessible for you and your family. A Local Offer gives children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities and their families information about what support services the local authority thinks will be available in their local area. Every local authority is responsible for providing a Local Offer and making sure it is available for everyone to see.
